Commercial Gas Scheduler - Houston, TX (Entry-Level / Recent Graduate)
Position Overview
4J Energy, LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented NGL Truck Scheduler to join our operations team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for a recent or upcoming graduate interested in logistics, supply chain, or energy operations. The Truck Scheduler plays a critical role in coordinating the daily movement of Natural Gas Liquids (NGLs) by truck, ensuring timely movements while maintaining clear communication with drivers, terminals, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Schedule and dispatch NGL truck movements to terminals, plants, and customer locations
Communicate daily with dispatchers regarding load times, routing, and delivery requirements
Monitor truck availability, load status, and delivery completion
Coordinate with terminals and internal operations teams to resolve scheduling conflicts or delays
Track and update scheduling information in internal systems and spreadsheets
Assist with reporting, documentation, and basic operational metrics
Respond to operational issues in a fast-paced environment with professionalism and urgency
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required (Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or related field preferred)
No prior experience required
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a time-sensitive environment
Excellent communication skills (phone, email, and internal messaging)
Willingness to learn logistics and energy industry operations
Prior internship or exposure to logistics, dispatching, or transportation is a plus, but not required

Wholesale Propane Sales Marketer - Tulsa, OK (Covering Midcontinent Region)
Position Overview
Responsible for managing propane supply, logistics, and customer relationships across the Midcontinent region. Oversees purchasing, scheduling, and delivery coordination while driving margin and growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Supply & Purchasing
Secure propane supply from midstream hubs, optimizing cost and reliability
Negotiate spot/term agreements, storage, and transportation arrangements
Monitor market fundamentals and adjust purchasing/sales strategy
Logistics & Scheduling
Oversee daily nominations, scheduling, and dispatch for transports
Coordinate with carriers for safe, on-time deliveries
Maintain tools tracking rack positions, freight economics, and delivery windows
Customer Portfolio Management
Serve as primary contact for wholesale and retail propane customers
Structure and negotiate contracts (indexed, fixed-price, seasonal, storage)
Provide market intelligence and pricing guidance
Commercial Strategy & P&L
Own regional margin/volume targets
Identify and develop new business (accounts, plant builds, storage capacity)
Analyze lane economics, basis exposure, and contract strategy
Risk Management & Compliance
Monitor risk exposures; support hedging, credit, and contract strategy
Ensure accurate recordkeeping and audit compliance
Collaboration & Leadership
Partner with operations, accounting, and leadership
Provide guidance to schedulers and analysts
Represent the company at customer and industry events
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
2+ years in propane/NGL marketing or midstream logistics
Strong understanding of propane supply chains and transportation modes
Experience negotiating physical contracts and managing regional books
Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
Strong communication and relationship skills
Ability to work in fast-moving markets; some travel required
Working Conditions
Hybrid work structure with periodic travel to Houston, customer locations, terminals, and storage sites
