The Colonial Pipeline is the largest pipeline on the eastern corridor moving 2.5 million barrels per day of refined products from Houston to NY Harbor.
4J has partnered with numerous shippers on the Colonial Pipeline system to help satisfy the demand of refined products along the east coast.
San Luis Potosi
4J's partner, Watco Companies, LLC, has reached an agreement to build and operate a multi commodity terminal in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. (Watco Press Release) 4J will have the ability to load refined products at Watco's Greensport facility in Houston onto rail cars and deliver them to San Luis Potosi at superior economics to our competitors due to our Watco partnership.
The terminal will include 300,000 bbls of storage tank capacity, unit train unloading tracks, and truck loading spots sufficient to truck 70,000 bpd. The anticipated in-service date for the terminal will be April 2017.
4J wants to be a 'first mover' once again as the Mexican refined products markets continue to liberalize and open up for private competition in 2017. 4J gained a tremendous amount of credibility in the marketplace by moving over 1,000 rail cars of propane to Mexico in the first year that the Mexican LPG markets liberalized. We hope to capitalize on our experience gained transporting LPG to Mexico with out Colonial refined products and rail transport expertise to offer a turn-key solution to the refined products Wholesale and Retail customers in Mexico.
